KIKU IST OFFIZIELLER PARTNER UND SPONSOR VOM 1. „INTERNATIONAL MOUNTAIN SUMMIT“ IN BRIXEN
3. bis 8. November 2009
Columbia Fruit Packers, Inc. and Columbia Marketing International welcome Applewood Orchards, Inc. Deerfield, MI as a member of the KIKU® growing and packing family.
Applewood Orchards, Inc., like Columbia Fruit Packers, Inc., is a third generation farm and packing operation founded by Walter Swindeman, Sr. who planted his first orchard in 1935 as a hobby and soon transitioned to a full time farmer and supplier of quality Michigan grown apples. Bernie Swindeman took the reigns of his father’s company and expanded it to today’s fully modern Packing facility with state of the art Controlled Atmosphere storage facilities and orchards grown in diverse regions of Michigan. Today, Applewood is owned and operated by Bernie’s three sons; Jim, Scott and Steve Swindeman.
This week, leading South African fruit exporter Capespan Exports became the first South African exporter to sign a marketing license agreement with KIKU S.R.L/GmbH. The KIKU® trademark will be used to market Fuji apples from the natural mutant Fuji KIKU® Brak. Together with other Kiku® partners in the southern and northern hemisphere, Capespan will ensure that only apples conforming to specific internal and external quality standards will be packed and promoted under the trademark.
